Guess who was Teen Vogue It Girl of the Week?

Well, here I am, just minding my own business.
Scrolling through people's mindless, love-obsessed Facebook Statuses when I see the
An It Girl's gotta stay updated, right?
As I'm reading some posts, I see a familiar photo of a familiar face...mine!
Taken in New Orleans, during my Spring Break, was a photo of me doing some style shots for my blog. How it ended up on the Teen Vogue ItGirls Facebook page as It Girl of the Week, I don't know.
But I feel pretty honored!
Even if I found out about it 2 months later...

Welcome to the Teen Vogue Office!

The Teen Vogue office; this is where the magic begins.
Lead by editors Andrew Bevan, Shinoa Turini and her assistant Danielle, the Lower East Side Girls Club and I, toured the fashion magazine's office. Our eyes couldn't help but to dart back and forth at all the clothes, shoes, and bags everywhere!
It was great to be recognized by all the Teen Vogue editors from the Teen Vogue Handbook signing event at American Eagle last week! The office had a very energetic and fast-paced atmosphere as editors and interns scurried around for the next office photo shoot or editorial. I smelled hard work!
The fashion closet: these photos do no justice to the organization and beauty in the Teen Vogue closet, to say the least!
the room where the Teen Vogue magazine gets put together! Flashback to The September Issue
It was great to see all the Teen Vogue editors again!
Let's just say that won't be the last time they'll see me again! ;)

Denim Canvas

They say fashion is an art, but what if you took the literal meaning of "art", grabbed some paint, brushes, and whipped put a masterpiece onto your clothing?
A lover for acid-wash and acrylic paint, I was intrigued by this woman's overalls on the subway. Definitely got my artistic wheels rollin' !

The Teen Vogue Handbook Signing Event!

Editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue and I

Where do you go when you want to chat with all the best editors of fashion journalism?
The Teen Vogue Handbook book signing event of course!
Editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue, Amy Astley and tons of amazing editors at Teen Vogue were at hand giving girls great advice and signing The Teen Vogue Handbook at American Eagle, Times Square.
Probably, one of the best days of my summer so far, I've never learned so much great advice in one day!
I felt like a sponge, picking brains from the best.
But the most important thing I learned: college really is all about trial and error. Almost all the editors and bloggers at Teen Vogue didn't major in any type of fashion-related course.
From art history to pre-med, (I know right!) these editors took the road less traveled.
Gloria Baume, Fashion Director at Teen Vogue

Laurel Pantin, Beauty Blogger at Teen Vogue looking extremely chic!

Loved this bag! And the bright keychain was a great contrast!
The awesome Naomi Nevitt, online editor of Teen Vogue
The one, the only, Andrew Bevan, Style and Fashion Blogger at Teen Vogue

This day was extremely helpful in my college decisions and potential fashion careers in journalism.
I may not know what the future holds but I do know one thing;

Me and Andrew Bevan are the cool kids!

Tea, anyone?

Oh, boy!
Sorry for the lack of posts guys!
Note to potential bloggers: Make sure you have a computer!
So, today was a special 16th birthday for one of my closest friends and I want to take this time to say
Happy Birthday to Alia!
None of the teacups and saucers were matchy-matchy, making the silverware one-of-a-kind. The environment of the restaurant had a quaint yet vibrant feeling to it, it was almost like I was in the movie itself. Along with her closest friends and her mom, we headed Uptown, Manhattan to Alice's Tea Cup for a cup of tea and some lovely treats.
Anyone care to join us?
Teatime with the Birthday girl! :)
Mmm!
Alright, enough with the tea! Let's get down to business!

Had such a great time at Alice's Tea Cup! The food was great and the place was beyond adorable!
Definitely someplace I recommend to take your favorite girls out!
Anyone wanna dish out their favorite places to eat in the city?
