Cut Arts funding but not WAR?

This is a SHAME
This is exactly how the very things that keep some people alive, well, and HAPPY become destroyed with injustice.
The cost of war in the United States is over ONE BILLION DOLLARS:

47 MILLION people in the U.S. don't have health care and 8.7 billion are children.
We complain about global warming but we have the money to cut down 2.47 acres of the Amazon Forest EVERYDAY. That's equal to TWO American Football Fields.
What is wrong with the way humans live and treat each other?
More than ever, more people are becoming more aware about the major flaws of our governments when it directly effects them. Being a part of a performing arts high school and a student of this country's education system, budget cuts have already hit us tremendously. Not only that, but most of the arts, dance, film, and photography programs I'm involved in are funded by the government.
What happens when that's gone?
Not only students, but PEOPLE will not have anywhere to turn.
Crime rates will increase and more and more teens are vulnerable to drugs and alcohol.
I have no idea what I would do without my arts classes and programs.
As a country, a people, and the ENTIRE WORLD, we need to reevaluate our priorities and how we're all just killing ourselves.

"How come we have money to kill but no money to feed or heal?
How come we have money to destroy, but no money for art and schools?"
